Yesterday we went to Segovia as an end of orientation trip! It was pretty darn cool. We weren’t there too long and IES kept us busy (and full) the whole time. It was basically a taste of the city, so if we want to return and explore more on our own we can. We hit the basic tourist attractions – the famous aqueduct that’s still standing, and the basic palace/cathedral combo pack. It was a nice change of pace from being in the busy city life of Madrid to take a day and see a suburb/small town. (However, it wasn’t small-town enough for me since there were still tourist attractions. I want to go to tiny towns that I haven’t even heard of before and wander around. One of these days…).
The mini tour of the city offered some great view and picture-worthy sites. I loved hearing the history and different myths (mostly because they were told in Spanish and I could understand them). Anyway, here are some pictures for ya!
